Accelerated Healing for Lasting Change

Feeling “stuck” in weekly therapy? Sometimes, the traditional 50-minute hour isn't enough to get to the root of what’s holding you back. If you’re ready to prioritize your healing and experience transformation without the wait, EMDR Intensives offer a dedicated, focused space to do the deep work.

Maybe some of these sound familiar:

  • You’ve been in therapy for months—or even years—and while you understand your past intellectually, the emotional weight of it hasn't shifted.

  • Certain memories still feel "loud" or intrusive, triggering that familiar sense of shame, anxiety, or overwhelm no matter how much you discuss them.

  • You’ve started to worry that you’re simply "broken" or that you’ll never truly get over what happened.

  • You’ve realized that the ways you used to manage your stress or pain just aren't working anymore, leaving you feeling stuck and uncertain.

  • You’re ready to do the deep work, but 50 minutes once a week feels like you're barely scratching the surface before the timer goes off.

What is an EMDR Intensive

More Healing, Less “Catching Up”.

In traditional weekly therapy, a 50-minute session often looks like this:

  • 10 minutes: Checking in on your week.

  • 30 minutes: Deep work and processing.

  • 10 minutes: Wrapping up and "containing" so you can go back to your day.

By the time we really get to the heart of the matter, it’s almost time to stop. Then, a week goes by, life happens, and we spend the next session's first 15 minutes catching up all over again.

An EMDR Intensive changes the math.

By meeting for a several-hour block, we stay in the "therapeutic window" for much longer. We bypass the weekly interruptions and maintain a focused momentum that allows your brain to do what it does best: heal.

The Result: You can make as much progress in a single half-day intensive as you might in two months of traditional weekly sessions.

Your Healing is in Experienced Hands

I have extensive, advanced training in EMDR.

As an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Consultant-in-Training, I am deeply committed to the highest standards of the craft, even providing consultation to other clinicians seeking their own certification.

Since 2011, I have helped many, many people overcome trauma and life experiences they truly believed they could never move past. I have seen firsthand that even when you feel "broken" or fundamentally stuck, your brain has an incredible, innate capacity to heal when given the right time, space, and expert guidance.

When we step into an intensive together, you aren't just getting a therapist; you’re getting a specialist who holds your story as sacred and has the advanced tools to help you finally find the relief you’ve been searching for.

What to Expect

Step 1: The Foundation (Pre-Intensive)

Before we dive into the deep work, we ensure the ground is steady.

  • Consultation: We start with a 15-minute call to ensure an intensive is the right fit for your goals.

  • Assessment: We’ll meet for a 90-minute intake session to identify the "stuck" points and create your personalized roadmap.

  • Resource Building: We’ll spend time developing "grounding tools." You’ll learn how to navigate big emotions safely so you feel equipped before we begin the intensive processing.

Step 2: The Intensive Day (The Work)

Whether you join me in my Williamsburg office or via telehealth, the day is designed around your comfort.

  • Setting the Space: We start by settling in. In person, this means blankets, tea, and plants. Online, this means having your pets nearby or your favorite candle lit.

  • Deep Processing: We use EMDR to work through the memories or patterns that have kept you stuck. Because we have hours, not minutes, we can stay with the process until we reach a point of relief.

  • Intuitive Breaks: We aren't robots. We take breaks for snacks, movement, or just to breathe. If we need to pivot and talk through a recent life event, we do. It’s your time—never my agenda.

  • Somatic Support: I invite you to use fidget toys, color, or take notes. These aren't distractions; they are tools to help your nervous system stay regulated while we do the "heavy lifting."

Step 3: The Afterglow (Integration)

Healing doesn't stop when you walk out the door.

  • The "Processing Hangover": You might feel tired but "lighter." I’ll provide you with a post-intensive care guide to help you navigate the 24–48 hours after our session.

  • The Follow-up: We will schedule a closing session to check in on your progress, celebrate moments of clarity, and discuss your next steps for moving forward with peace.

Move Beyond “Stuck”

Understanding your past is only half the journey; true relief is the other.

If you are ready to stop just managing your symptoms and start processing them at the root, an intensive provides the dedicated space and time you’ve been looking for. You have worked hard enough—now let’s work together to find your peace.
